Help Please!!! Ski edges getting darkened/black/grey from rails- ideas to stop this???
My shiny armarda ar5 edges I have just discovered that just under the binding on both skis the edges are beginning to darken and getting splotchy grey. I know/think this is from sliding rails as the black stuff only appears where the ski slides the rail. THANKYOU
The dont NEED to be fixed. If you want to clean them up:
You can take an edge guide and file and file down the edge tip to tail a few times and should see it go away. Then take that file out of the guide detune under foot and soft gummy stone it down for further dulling.
It may not be a bad idea to take your shit in for a shop tune (base and edge).
