Freeskier Issues
“sex sells, but dose sex sell out?
By Stuart Epps, MM Park Manager
More then “much love for the mag and its efforts! Freeskier Staff and Pete Shoemaker have done a great job tossing in some Midwest love. All things grand I was a little caught off guard by Freeskiers first issue this season. I wasn’t sure if I had grabbed Maxxum or Freeze! I dig the hotties in lifestyle shots and a little skin, but who are these girls?
Then it hit me, my little sister could have been in those shots. Good thing she wasn’t, I would likely be pissed from a Big Bro standpoint.

Is Freeskier Politically Correct by ski bum standards? I think not, Powder has been and will always be the ski bum standard for ski publications. I don’t see them selling skin in the name of the sport.
As our constitution states we are free to express our self. Freeskier is Skiing’s Independent Magazine expressing it’s self, I hope they are aware of “it’s a small world out there and it is whole lot smaller within our industry. I hope these girls gained professionally from the shoot and didn’t lose face or creditability. I hope they break into the industry with a cute face and a name, just as Sarah, Kristy and Suzie Chapstick did.
Girls watch your ass, cause I am sure allot of guys will be!
Way to set the precedent Lange Girls, I have always loved the hotty in ski boots posters! “Keep Your Ski Tips UP
Sex appeal and our sport is the life of a ski bum.
