One thing that I liked about your video a lot was that it had a great vibe, It made me happy to watch. So awesome job there. The intro was a tiny bit cheesy imo but i guess its preference. You got some really good shots, try to mix up the angles a lil more than you even did! Also try to work on stabilization on your follow cams it was quite shaky. I also wouldn't include shots where the lens has lots of water on it, Very distracting. But overall I had a good time watching your edit man, good job! I'll try to critique a lil more in depth later when I get some more sleep
Thanks man yeah the follow cams were all from a tripod handheld. All I had was my tripod. Since I only shot a couple days I put in everything I could. Also having good vibes is something I really try to focus on and I'm glad they came through. Thanks for the critique will definitely be more conscious of getting more stable shots next time.
Great vibe, looks like fun.
It keeps the viewer engaged through the whole piece.
For improvement:
The film burns in the beginning would work better if you crossfaded the clips, and if the song was playing already
A couple more driving shots (outside of the car) in the beginning might have been nice.
The first skiing shots, the tilts, didn't work so well, cut of heads and bodies
A crossfade might have helped at the transition at ~1:56
You could have cut a bit better to the music, for instance use the change in the song at ~2:16 to change shots
The biking, the pans, have a little bit of the same issue as the first skiing shots, in differing speeds of the camera move and the rider
I would have mixed a not ski shot or two into the skiing section, too.
Maybe a little bit too much inflatapenis
I'd run the end credits faster
Overall good job, i'm sure you and your buddies love it, and will keep it as a memory of a sweet trip.
