copy and pasted straight from my dude up at k-mart.
"There is a groomer access trail that can be skied in alpine gear from Pico to Killington. It runs from the top of Pico Peak and runs down to a maintenence garage just below Ramshead base on Killington Road. There is a smaller groomer path through the woods that links it back to the main trails on Ramshead.
I threw a marker on this link:

The plan is still to connect Pico to Killington with new lifts and new trails in that ridge between Ramshead Mountain and Pico Peak but there is still critical infrastructure upgrades that are needed at Killington before they can move on to expansion. American Skiing Company really ran the infrastructure into the ground in the 2000s.
The game plan over the next few years is to complete the build on the new lodge at the top of Killington Peak this upcoming summer. Then move on to replacing the Snowdon fixed grip Quad with a HSQ while reusing the fixed grip quad to replace the South Ridge Triple which was removed during the summer of 2011 as it was all but condemned at that point, haha.
The interconnect would be next on the list of priority projects at that point and would coincide with the building of a residential and commercial pedestrian village where the Snowshed Parking Lots are right now.
As for timeframe, who the hell knows. It'd be a MASSIVE capital investment, but the base lodges at both Snowshed and Ramshead are sorely outdated and are lacking hugely when compared to the competition.
All said, I'm happy that it is nothing that will happen in the immediate. Last thing I want is for Pico to be Killingtoned.
:P
