I'm thinking about making a site, to publish photo's, show what's up and have a personal e-mail account. I find it very confusing how it all works though for international domains. In the Netherlands what's normal, is that you buy a domain for a couple bucks a year and then have a seperate web-host. Now, I'm thinking of getting a .com domain instead of an .NL domain, because it looks nicer and should appeal to a broader public.
Apart from that I'm a complete noob when it comes to all this stuff, I'm not sure where to look. It looks like hosting and the domain name here are combined. I'm just gonna make a wordpress site, as I don't know shit about html, java, flash and all that stuff (although I do intend to learn either of them some time to make a site myself).
Now, I've looked at a site called Bluehost.com and you have the possibility to install the Wordpress plugin (or something like that) and you can just start building your site from there. Now, does the content then still get hosted at wordpress? Or woud it be hosted at Bluehost.com
I'm a really freak when it comes to something like this. I would like a site with a couple urls. tijmendal.com as my root site and then tijmendal.com/photos, tijmendal.com/projects and tijmendal.com/contact or so as my other sub-sites to call 'em that. Would that still be possible?
If someone can even slightly enlighten me, that'd be great. I'm completely oblivious to how this works.
Thanks in advance
