Damn Shea and Chowens make the sickest edits. Im So damn stoked for this to come in the mail. it definately doesnt ruin it for me in any way, i was just curious. If there seg is as good as the edit i will be very happy.

This is definitely my top 5 ski movies ever.... I've got a special place in my heart for TBC but this was real fucking close. I'll have to watch it a couple more times.

Everyone else - you may have bigger name riders, huge park features, BC trips and helis, which all comes down to what sort of riding the viewer prefers - but good luck. From a movie standpoint it's going to be hard to beat.

I didn't like that Chowens got hurt. And I didn't like that they got busted before anything more could go down at the stadium. But what did happen was great. That's about it I think.

i was almost kinda ... letdown i guess the first time i watched it. then i watched it again and realized how fucking dope it was. really really liked shea/chowens segment.

exactly how i felt the first time i watched it all the way through
but after watching it the second time and the third fourth and fifth it just gets fucking better and better the music just grows on you so much and after the first time i wasn't expecting another segment after clay tons and that made his segment a lot more enjoyable
my only complaint is that Nick martini didn't have a segment

I don't get how you couldn't be stoked first time, but I'm also a film maker too so maybe i just appreciate the value of the movie more. Either way, i dont get how you couldn't like this movie: the soundtrack, the shots, the overall vibe, the everything. So. On. Point. WANT HD VERSION NOW

I knew Martini wouldn't have a segment when he wasn't on the riders list so once I saw Clayton's blind 2 out of that massive rainbow rail, in addition to the rest of his crazy shit, I knew there couldn't be anything after that.

This was a great movie. Every segment of skiing was incredible, my favorite full segment would have to be the Maks/Jordan one at this point, with Clayton's and Shea/Chowens tied for second. Noah Albaladejo also KILLED it out of nowhere. My only critique would be that there was way too much filler. there were long, long, filler segments that, though sick, took me out of the movie a little bit. I also missed that there was no Warnick, Berman, or both Martini's. Overall, 9/10, whereas I'd consider Weight a 9.5/10

Yah those are most definitely not "filler" segments whatsoever. The montage, if you will, segments were actually some of my favorites. Adds a lot to the story.

exactly, even though it looks like stept had a similar year as other, having a hard time getting alot of shots, they really did the best they could have done with the shots they had. they killed it.

For some reason my favorite part of the movie was at the waterpark/themepark place.  It just seems like it would be so much fun to ski down a waterslide.

i couldnt believe that the movie wasn't in hd, thats about my only complaint. the intro was terrific, great filming and editing and it set the tone for the movie perfectly. shea slayed, maks killed it, and of course clayton destroyed shit. everyone should make a trip to see the rainbow rail bc when you have seen it in person that shot will blow your mind even more than it already did.

you realize that dvds are never in HD. You need a bluray disk and a bluray player to have an HD video. The only other way to see HD is a digital copy, which I'm hoping stept will offer a cheaper one for people who bought the dvd, because i want to watch it in HD too.

shit my bad, ive never really bought dvds because of the price, but i had to buy stepts movie because i wanted to give them 20 dollars haha. but i agree when the itunes version comes out they really should set up something where you can put your receipt number in and get the digital for free

I guess Shea never got to hit the legitimate cannon rail. Also, the rainbow that Clayton hit in the end was absolutely nuts. Such a sick movie but I wish martini had a segment

Spoiler: Clayton Vila's blind 270 out of the huge urban rainbow rail was so ridiculously insane. Also, Seany J's 450 on to the huge gap rail blew my mind all over the floor. That took some balls. It's so hard to pick out individual tricks. There were sooo many bangers. Overall, the 86 is without a doubt in my top 3 movies. A must have.

Just watched it 2 times today. I thought it was pretty damn good. I defiantly liked weight better, but it was still good. The soundtrack was different, not necessarily in a bad way. The riders killed it. Intro was pretty dope as well.

1. the snow in Denver/rest of CO melted soon after it fell due to the very warm winter.

2. most U.S. cities recieved snow far below average including Boston and the rest of the EC cities, where they filmed a majority of last years film.

3. this all made it a bit more challenging to get shots, which is what eHeath was saying.

i dunno, it didnt really do it for me.

from a filming standpoint, i just sorta felt as though i was watching giant NS edit:
-hdslr shot on a steadicam after hdslr shot on a steadicam. i mean i love steadicam shots and all, but i can only take so much
-the widescreen 2.35 crop! sorry but i cannot really stand it... it doesnt make footage look more "cinematic"
-i really really did like what they did with time lapses. the motorized timelapse slider shots in the car were spot on.

from a skiing standpoint - spot on. easily some of the best urban skiing out there.

i wish stept stepped up the part with the parents talking about their children skiing. there was so much potential for that and i think they could've added just a bit more.

what would you prefer over hdslr steadicam shots? Stept cant afford a RED or anything like that, and dslrs are extremely portable, which is something you need for shooting urban.
