Get a password so asshole neighbors don't steal your wifi and make you pay $60 extra in 1 month fuck that shit. End of my contributions to this thread

as long as your not all trying to watch netflix on separate computers, or everyones downloading their own music at the same time, should be fine. i shared 12mbps with 3 other guys which worked fine.

I just moved out of a house with four guys and we had comcast at that speed. Worked fine. Why are you getting cable if you have internet? You an literally watch anything on the Internet that is on TV

use a wpa2 instead, much more secure
20mpbs is fine amoung 4 people just surfing the internet. Netflix will be fine with 2 maybe 3 computers. Only troublesome aspect is if comcrap has bandwidth caps

it sounds like you were using your phone as a mobile hotspot...

I think you'll be fine with 20. I was at my friends house yesterday and three of us were on the computer at once, two of us were downloading a game patch (large download), one on youtube, and his internet was still pretty fast.

We had 6 guys in a house. Started with 20, wasnt enough so we went to 30 which was much better.

This. You can even watch live sports broadcasts, and you only have to wait a day or less for a new TV episode to be available for download.

Cable sucks. Stay away form cable bundle deals. If you want internet get internet. If you also want tv get a dish.
Honestly if you have netflix, hbo on demand, espn3 and other shit are you actually going to watch tv?

I used to have that exact cable/internet comcast setup in college, we had 5-6 people in our house and we could have two xbox lives going, a person doing netflix and the others online and we had almost ZERO lag/delays/slowness.
All times are Eastern (-5)
