A new ski game

Hello! I've been working on this as a little side project over the summer. It's way better if you have a controller but you can play with the keyboard if you don't have one. Try it, there are plenty of bugs!

there should be a "grab" where you could suck your knees up so you could do actual frontflips/backflips
or tricks without grabbing so your not looking like a pencil

Alright here's basically a summary of stuff that's been requested and/or I personally would find cool

-Uses poles when boosting
-pull in knees function for flipping & straight airs
-be able to jump out of a left-side butter (Only works right side)
-more grabs (Maybe combining grab buttons), including nose grabs and double grabs
-tail and nose taps
-replay editor (á la skate)
-option to change the terrain smoothly so that custom maps can have the same rolling transitions that the "original" park has
-customizable clothing and skis
-little knee bounce when landing jumps
-secret combo for afterbanging

No stress though Malcom, I understand that you're a normal person too and I appreciate the amount of time you've already put into everything

Has anyone else not been able to play the past couple days? Both my safari and google chrome browsers either crash or wont load shredsauce. It says theres a "fatal error"

not being able to jump while buttering has to do with your keyboard. works on my PC but not on my mac. Best way of fixing it would be configurable buttons.

Heres some suggestions/requests:
1) Add the black polejams and black tubes from on3p contest.
2) Change the guys look when going forward since he looks like a gaper, going switch looks alright.
3) Double safety grab, tail press & nose press.

Keep it going malcom.

Am I the only one that has perfect frame rate , the game runs super super well but the skier just glitches out on the rail and cannot pop ? like I'll slide the rail perfect but wont be able to pop a switch up

Some ideas to make shredsauce better :

- Improve landings ! first, an animation of landing will be good, like pressure on knees and some space between skis like before jumping. Be more exigent on landings, try to fall down the skier with a "ragdoll" effect, I think it's not so hard to implement with Unity

- Kickers on the first default park are better than kicker in park edit mode. Sometimes, I have some bugs when I ride kickers and landings in a custom park. I don't have these bugs on the default park level

- 2 new grabs : Nose mute with bended knees -> Nose mute tweaked with straight knees and a simple tail grab where skis would be perpendiculars to the skier, with a tweak effect for bending knees

- Jump out on the left or on the right of rails. For example, when you're on rail, you can hold butter key + left or right arrow for turning on the rail and you could hold butter + down or up to tilt the skier one the right or left side of the rail and then SPACE button to jump out of the rail but in the right direction. So it will be possible to jump out of a rail to land on an another rail which is not align with the first one :)

Can we have a customized menu with the skier standing on the left the jmos the fr or the prester , and you could just chose which one you like %

also would you need to take legal actions to incorporate other skis like armadas ?



And I have a few suggestion
add the big tubes to level editor
new grabs (nose , critical etc )
a more crossed tail
a steezier stance when you're riding forward and spinning out of rails
laid out backies
more features in the level editors like bonks a wider variety of rails (round, single barrel double barrels , no wooden covers , premade stairsets , the ability to change the colors of the covers on the rails)




I'm also curious to know what you would ned to do to implement character customization ?

only way to fix this is to buy a new keyboard, it has to do with the hardwiring of the keyboards. For 95% of the population you never press more then 3 buttons at once, so they can cheapen up parts by using the same hardwiring.
