A new ski game

Hello! I've been working on this as a little side project over the summer. It's way better if you have a controller but you can play with the keyboard if you don't have one. Try it, there are plenty of bugs!

I just funky buttered onto the side of the down tube. Coming in from the left, hit left arrow and g and vice cersa. Then it's just a matter of timing. I also tapped/trannyfound up over the start. Boom.

it would be nice to have nose and tail butters though instead of just spinning around on the snow. Also i think it would be cool if malcolm could make the triggers on the controller that are used for shiftys be able to sense how fast you pull the trigger, in order to be able to shifty faster or slower for different tricks, or to be able to do quick rail taps. I dont know how hard that would be to do, but it doesnt seem too out of the reason.

I may be wrong but I think Malcom said he couldn't do that because wired xbox controllers don't have trigger senitivity.

The update is sick, the fulscreen and halfpipe are awesome. Would love to see nollies and maybe a closeout as the game progresses

The driver for the ps3 controller that comes on the mac doesn't support the trigger sensitivity which is really stupid. I would just need to find a driver for ps3 on a mac that does work with trigger sensitivity. It's sort of nice to just be able to plug a ps3 controller into a mac but the driver is outdated.

The tweaked safety was just a test I did for tweaked grabs. I'll be making it a little more fluid and adding it to the left side before making new grabs

awesome! i love doing some disaters with tweaked safety and with shiftys its just added a whole new level of spin control. can we get grind shifty? like the iphone freeskiing game.

I think it would be a cool thing to have the jump button able to be held down for a charge in your pop. Sort of like Jibbin where if you just tap it the character won't go as high.

I like the new plaque for Sarah, but IMO it should be somewhere else, just having it on the ground is a little weird and it makes it easy to just run it over. Maybe put it on the side of a box or something.

The Sarah plaque is skiers right at the top of the pipe. Sort of on the side of the pipe I guess.

Ground Breaking IDEA!!!!! But first, Cheers Malcom for such an amazing contribution to the ski community. MAD PROPS.
I have been playing with a ps3 controller and its working great; I just wish I could butter better and press rails out.

My idea is to incorporate a "Press" buttons with L1 and R1. One for leaning over the noses or tails of the skis.

The skis seem to fall through the rail at a certain point, if you could jam the appropriate "Press" button and hold the slide longer on the tips of the skis.

This would also work to give better control buttering onto rails and could add an extra level to the grabs. Say Nose Press+truck driver= double nose... Or tail press+Blunt= dub blunt
