I watch the perseids every year they're gorgeous. I believe it's going to be a new moon or very close to one this year during the shower so it should be a spectacular show!

Thats what I was hoping, I sort of assumed they'd be too fast to capture without blurring?

Youre going to want long exposures. Probably 10-15 second exposures (maybe longer) at 10-15 second intervals. (so 10-15 seconds on, 10-15 seconds off).

Expecting these kind of results. Hopefully better.

Sorry for the dub post. This is one of the times when living in the middle of a park preserve beats the hell out of anywhere else.


Only a couple roads, no lights, "towns" are small as fuck. No light pollution. It's fucking beautiful. Sucks having to drive an hour to the nearest anything, but for shit like this, it's fucking awesome.
