today i upgraded my 4s to ios 6, beta 3, and figured i'd share with everybody. ive used it for a few hours, and its pretty fun. definitely different. also, siri has more things it does.

OP how does the "Do Not Disturb Feature" work? I realize this could potentially be a very stupid question if it has a real simple answer lol.

You can set it so that no one can call/text you except for people you put on a list. It's pretty cool. IMO the most useful thing is the turn by turn guidance, it wasn't as good in beta 2 but they have it perfect now. Definitely the feature I have used most

i havent tried it yet, but basically it blocks calls, but you can select "important" contacts and only recieve their calls

yea it seems neat. you can do the same thing with emails, theres a special "vip" folder that only show emails from people you specify.

Nope. What the link does is register the iphone to be allowed to use betas. Somebody with a developers package has 100 slots to do this, so a lot of people sell their extras. And na ive never had any problems with downloading .ipsw files

probably the gps. its tom tom now and is really fun to look at stuff. i havent looked too much so ill tell you if i find some really cool stuff. its mainly the subtle details that make you say "oh, neat"

I hope so, I know Apple has never released a new IOS without a new phone. My 3GS is getting pretty old and slow, but I definitely want another iPhone. I love the iPod touch that inherently comes with it and I don't want to part with that.

yeah i wouldnt bother unless its free, i would just get a 4 from a friend or for pretty cheap unlocked on ebay or something once the iphone 5 comes out.

I completely disagree. What if someone not on the VIP list really needs you? What is the protocol for that? Is it really that difficult to just put your phone on vibrate?

I mean, the cons really outweigh the pros. If someone is calling you at 3 AM, there is a damn good reason why.

If they are not on your VIP list they probably wont look to call you if they really need you. They would call someone else since you dont see them as that important.

And you can set a feature(I think?) that makes it so if they call twice it rings the second time. Assuming that if it is an emergency they will call more than once.

You have to remember that not everyone is a drunk college student. There are people in this world that actually are grown up.

Im a developer so ive been using ios 6 beta since its initial release on and off. Its really cool. Im excited to see what new features theyll give it when the new phone is released (like siri with the 4s).
