Finding "Whoosh" and "Swoosh" SFX

Hey guys, I've been in the hunt for some good ol swoosh sound effects. I've been looking all over and haven't been able to find any decent sounding ones. Does anyone have any or know where to get some?

I've been looking for the same thing! I've thought about trying to make my own. I want to try recording the sound of swinging a stick and get the sound of the air whooshing, then just slow it down and cut it to the length that I want and putting it at the right part of the video..idk if it will work but you should give it a go.

I used a couple 'whoosh' sounds in this video that I can't quite remember where I got them. If this is somewhat what you're looking for, I can dig into it and try to figure out where I downloaded them from or just send you the entire file. 'Whooshes' occur mostly when shots speed up or zoom out, you'll see. Plus the original file has plenty more than just the few I used.

if you get a hold of a woosh but it doesnt sound just right, adjust the speed and pitch

i used some homemade swoosh sounds in this plus some natural sounds from the onboard mic and a little bit of touch up stuff. but the main swoosh sounds were completely homemade. heard best with headphones

Let me know what you guys think, if you like the sounds I can always make more.
Unfortunately there's a huge loss of quality uploading to sound cloud, but if people like it I'll try some other methods to get the sounds up there.

Good stuff man. Really like the first 3. The fourth and fifth sound a little too electronic/hollow for me. Could you do a few that are a tad deeper and quicker too? +K

Finding a library of sounds ready to just throw into your editing software would be your best bet.

Here's a blog I stumbled across when I was trying to find out more about the sound design in transformers:

Clarke put audio recording gear on the take offs and landings and recorded the sounds, edited them and also used some he had laying around from previous projects such at the halfpipe edit, I remember reading this on his website
