Recon Goggles??

if you're into that tech stuff then i say go for it, but i would just stick to a solid pair of oakleys or smiths

There pretty fucking cool IMO, never used them and would not buy them but there damn sick, it's like your a fighter pilot

I would not buy them. Think about this, when your looking through your goggles and you focus at a mark on the lens everything else beyond the lens is blurry. You'd have to do that all the time with these goggles while skiing.

I feel that it's a sick concept, but I don't think you would even think to glance at the HUD when your bombing down a run to see that your're traveling at a not so fast rate of speed.

If it had x-ray vision on snowboard girls...I'd say go for it. Maybe the next model they come out with it.

i used a pair for a day and found them to be pretty cool. didnt find it distracting at all and for those who say it is, or think it would be, it is the same as driving a car with gps navigation. its tiny, out of the way, and you can glance at it pretty quick and read it clearly. you can also upload everything to a computer afterwards. i will say i would never pay full price for them. they are insanely expensive but if its something you are into then go for it.

The way the optics are projected it looks like the HUD is floating 5ft in front of you, which means you don't need to refocus your eye at all. You just quickly glance down when you want your speed. Also, it sits in your peripheral so you don't see it at all unless you look at it, just like the dashboard on your car.
