every time i see it posted (on facebook, or NS) i always think the same thing. at 1:02 .. what was the guy going for? what if his skis didnt pop off, he would've just slammed his back into a wall... it just seems stupid to me. seems like urban is getting kind of ridiculous...

this, what the hell are you talking about, his back wasnt going into any wall, he was going to ride away switch after coming down the wall. its pretty simple, and no its not getting stupid its getting awesome

haha uhhhh generally when sailing 20 feet into a vertical wall you bleed off a little speed.

Also, he hits something similar on smaller scale in After Dark, hits the wall behind him and believe it or not doesn't even get hurt...

he had a little bit of an angle. he would have been able to carve away. im sure in the movie you will see him actually do it.

parker and i set that up with the utmost optimism, then qucikly realized after 4 hits a piece that it really wasn't feasible. i was trying it to forward and was fucking terrified, i couldn't believe we was even attempting it to switch. 15-20 drop redirect with 4' to stop before slamming into another wall was a terrible idea in retrospect.

we did do some damage to other concrete + transition features that trip though, with much better outcomes than that one.
