Pow bindings?

I am looking for some new bindings for my powder skis (2012 night trains). The two that I was looking at we're the Atomic FFG 14 or the Marker Griffon. These are the two best matches I could come up with considering that I don't want to spend to much and they fit my ski. I was leaning towards the FFG because it has more metal......any opinions will be appreciated! And of course +k!!

Those come in 115mm brakes and I was had been told that it was to far to bend. My skis are 123mm waist. Is it to far to bend?

if i'm not mistaken i have seen people bend their fks brakes to fit onto night trains

Between the Giffion and Atomic FFG 14. Atomic hands down. Your at the size you can go up to bigger din.
Personally I'd say save your money and get the FKS 140. you have 4 months before ski season. But if you strapped for cash you gotta do what you gotta do.

Another good binding for powder would be rossingnol Axial2 140 XXL. The heel piece is designed for powder. Its made so you can pull them up even if your boots got powder in the heel cup. Makes it really easy to step back in if they fall off in waist deep powder. Evo.com has them for $200.00 plus shipping & tax. Here you go.

Wow man thanks for the great reply! I think I may get those axial2's. And yea I hope we get more snow than last year, there was only one day last year that I would have actually had a reason to pull some pow sticks out.

i have 122 underfoot on my surface ab new lifes with fks 140. and bent my brake just fine on them.

Salomon/Atomic design has been around for just as long, if not longer than the turntable.

They're both great bindings.  There's a reason why they're both still around.  I'm a Solly guy, but there's nothing wrong with the Look/Rossi binding.  It's just not for me.

This. The z/oversized toe you find on the ffg 14 is a raging piece of shit. If you're going to buy salomon/atomic make sure you get the driver toepiece, which is the one found on both 16s, and the salomon 14/12 driver. I don't believe atomic makes a low din driver toe binding except for older models. Speaking of which, it may be worth your while to look at the used binding market. Frequently you can find sth 16s, pivot 14,15, and 18, px, and jesters for less than 200. Just be patient and scan the sell/trade forum, as well as the gear swap forum over on tgr, and you're bound to get a better deal than anything you can find new.

People say this a lot. In the days of foam cores, yes that was an issue. However, I can't remember the last time I saw an FKS rip out of a ski with good construction and a full wood core. 

Take it for what its worth.
