I want to buy boots off of evo because they are super cheap but will a shop fit them for me even if i didnt buy them there? The boots are full tilt booters and i tried them on and they fit nicely but i dont want to pay the price that the shop is selling them for.
yep thats what im doing, just make sure to tell the store that you don't plan on buying the boots there beforehand, and then tip the dude who fits you like $30
I like this idea of a tip or some form of payment. Not cool to waste a bootfittters time (unless they just arent working with you well) and end up buying nothing if you find something you like. Good luck buying some boots man!
Buy them online, then get Footbeds made by the bootfitter so you are still buying something in the shop, then too him if he needs to do any extra work on them
Definitely a nice gesture to tip the fitter if you do not plan on buying boots there, as well as mentioning it up front.
This is a nice 2nd best practice, but when you can still try to buy the boots from the shop. Sure it will help the shop, but it will also help you more in the long run. Most every shop nowadays has a boot-fit guarantee of some sort. In my old shop, it covered any and all boot work for the life of the boot. That is a great insurance policy that will make sure your feet are always happy and definitely worth the extra bit of coin when compared to shopping online.
