Newschoolers, what are my options?

I'm going to USC--south Carolina for college in about 2 weeks, and I have the dopest apartment style dorm, it's in the center of everything, huge living area, kitchen private bathroom and private bedroom. It was going to be perfect until about 3pm yesterday when I get a text saying (sparknotes) I have two Indian roommates like he just got back from India. Before u all rage that I'm racist I don't mind diversity but I cannot live with it. What are my options because I don't wanna lose that dope apartment but I can't live with two indians like people won't want to come near my door with it smelling like Indian food and shit. Thanks for reasonable answers. Sparknotes : Have two Indian roommates at a dope college dorm, don't want to have to change dorms but cannot survive with those two.

I'm with you man. I'd be pissed too if I thought I had my own room and now I have to share it with not 1 but 2 guys from india. I lived across from 1 in residence last year and I will tell you they're food does stink. As well those guys take their school more serious than Tebow takes religion so they're not going to want to party/stay up late/get fucked up and they certainly won't want you taking slams back to the room while they're sleeping because they'll more than likely have 8am class every morning that they can't miss for the life of them. Believe me i'm in engineering and more than half my class is indian up here in Canada. I suggest trying to get yourself a different room by yourself if at all possible, or even sharing with one other person that shares common interests with you. If not, just try to make the best out of it and who knows, maybe these guys will be an exception to their sterotype.

Honestly, the girls floor above me had a dorm room with two Indian girls in it, and it was the most god awful smelling floor in the building. Yes, floor. The smell contaminated the entire fucking floor of the building, just from their own room.

As other people have said, dont be so quick to judge. You might end up with 2 good friends and making friends with people from other countries gives you more possibilities to travel since more often than not they'll be down to let you stay at their place if you ever travel to their country. And let's say it doesn't go well and you guys are completely different and don't all get along at all, it's only for a year and trust me, you will still learn something from that experience so it's all good. To finish, there are a shit ton of other people to meet and party with, it's not a big deal.

There were two Indian kids on my floor who in fact DID NOT smell like shit, unlike the girls living above us. And they were chill as fuck and did crazy foreign hallucinogens while playing Halo with us.

give it a try, i'm pretty good friends with some indian peeps at college, they can get pretty rad when they get drunk/stoned, and indian food aint half bad either (if you're into spicy curry stuff that will burn a hole in your stomach)

only downside to them is that they have completely different hygienic standards, to put it crude, my 3 indian friends are downright pigs, hilariously funny pigs, but still pigs ....

Give things a chance. I had a gay roommate, and dude was cool as hell, cooking cleaning, baking, whatever, and his boyfriend was chill too. Super respectful. But I guess you can never fix the lil fuckheads in the world.

hey, indian people are awesome! I had a relationship with an indian girl. the reason I stopped was because she was annoying, but it had nothing to do with her "indian - ness". (she was really pretty and nice, just really annoying!)

And I went into an indian household for the first time, buddhists, and they were literally the most hospitable and diverse people I met.
