In a couple weeks I start college like a bunch of you, but for those that already know what its like, whats some things i should know? Kinda nervous for it.
Sit within the first 6 rows in class if you actually want to learn anything. It's better to sit forward and not be as 'cool' and to sit at the back, not be able to hear and fail.
Good to hear. One of the genius' of society. You do realize that you'll more than pay off your financial difficulties if you work hard and succeed? OP - I'd highly recommend you live in the dorms, especially if you're out of state. You really can't make many meaningful relationships living with mom and pop.
That being said, college will be a lot of work and there will be a whole tone of things that you'll become responsible for, but after a while you'll just get used to it. Just make sure to balance your education with your social life- as cliche as that sounds.
College is so fun man, move into your dorm and you're gonna meet like 20-30 new people the first day and next thing you know you'll be partying with them, having fun, etc. I was nervous about going to college and not getting to know anyone but everyone else is in the same situation, they're just looking to meet new people too. Just be outgoing, have some fun, push the boundaries and go to your classes. You can definitely skip class here and there but you kind of have to get used to it, its easy to study for a class and skip a day/figure out which days of class you can skip and be alright, especially when ski season comes around (not sure how applicable that is to you, didnt see where you were going). To be honest, college is tough but its no where near as much bullshit as high school. You're gonna learn some cool shit and ACTUALLY learn it, vs high school bullshit classes. It's a great time, soak it in while you can.
I graduated now, but back my freshman year no one knows where there classes are, so I ran into this girl who was wondering where this certain building was. I had no idea where it was but helped her try and find it. Got her number and ended up fucking her a few days later haha.
The jets seem to be pretty popular these days. You'll meet a lot of new people through it, and it's like a sports team because you have so much training and practice to do. Plus I hear they need a new leader.
I remember my first collegiate choreographed knife fight like it was just yesterday...
