Music Choices for Edits

Hey guys,

I need music for a ski edit. I need help finding music simliar to these. They need to be soft, yet a little cinematic and aggressive, preferably with lyrics.

Unfortunately, no one is going to give you their song ideas. People work pretty hard on song selections and don't tend to share anything off of their lists.

Anyways, isn't finding your song one of the best parts of editing?

Dude just use Sail! haha for real though, Its always best to surf pandora or songza or something of that sort until something clicks. Its very rewarding!

A word of advice on finding music. Use the internet. Go on music blogs that update with the latest music. Find something new find something interesting.

for me that song could only fit a guy wearing a full big mountain setup with a-t bindings and skis and super long poles just shredding the absolute fuck out of rails with a few big cork 9s and 10s tossed in.

I usually will never give out a song to someone or show anyone this channel of sick music but seeing as you make quality photos and I assume edits I'll show you it.

Just make your edit, then go into itunes and find a song that is exactly the same length as the footage. Simple

Pandora, Youtube, Torrent albums, look for similar songs, download more songs from artists you like, etc. There are a TON of good songs to use probably right on your computer. I had a bunch of Nas albums and for awhile I was only really listening to 2-3 albums all the way through and I started actually listening to other songs I had and I found edit songs. Just listen to your music, you'll be surprised. That is unless, you have like 300 songs and they're all from ski edits and movies...

Dont do this. At least personally I like to edit my cuts to the music. If you do this there will be no rhythm in you video.
