Do you know any olympic athletes?

Anyone of your friends or someone from your town competing in or going to be in or have competed in the olympics?
Theres a swimmer from my city who was in the olympics... as well as a runner who most definitely will be in the games one day.

I've met pretty much all of the US olympic ski team, used to compete against lindsey vonn back in the good old days of buck hill.

Met a lot of the US Snowboarding team cause they practiced at Copper for a while and I know the Aguirre family pretty well from living in Mammoth so long.

In the next winter olympics, I think we all know people that will be there for skiing, provided you've been to any professional ski event.

my friend's best friend Moa Hjelmer is competing today in womens running 400 metres. I have met her a couple of times, but wouldnt class her as a friend, more an aquaintance.

ashleigh mcivor and i went to high school together. also my good childhood friend Julia Murray competed in skier cross but due to knee injury didn't do so well.

John and Ben Peterson, Olympic gold and silver medalists in wrestling are from my home town. Went to school with their kids, one was a good friend that I graduated with.

My mom rowed at a super high level in university and a couple of her team mates won medals for Canada in the 90's.

She also is good friends with another former Olympian...a canoer that she went to teachers college with.

Me, I don't know anyone personally.
