Which boot for me (went to boot fitter now choosing model of boot)

So like title says I got fitted and the guy who fitted me recommended the dalbello krypton series and full tilts. I am looking at a few on ns but I can't decide which one will fit my style most, I'm basically and all mountain skier (never hit or planning on hitting rails) I do some jumps, drops, a little spinning here and there,and I just like to rip all over the mountain. I weigh about 140 and I'm 5'8" and I'm looking at some krypton pros which are set for a stiffer 130-140 flex (with no other pieces to change the flex) some ilmoro t's with the medium tongue, and some full tilt Seth's that come with a booster strap. One thing to mention is the the Seth's are a 25.5 and the dalbellos are both 26.5's the fitter said I was right between sizes and if I wanted a more racing fit to go with the 25.5 but that was for the dalbellos, do full tilts run a little bigger? Thanks guys +k for help or tips/info

FT's run smaller as my 27.5 spk is 317bsl and thats a 28 ft.

Id buy the boot from the shop as they will do as much work needed to make the boot perfect for you, you cant get that from a used boot/boot bought online

Thanks for the info, but I don't have the cash to buy them from the shop so that's kinda out of question

Yeah you should def try on the boot you're getting before you buy it.

ive tried on the krypton rampages and its my understanding that all kryptons have the same fit with different flexes, and the boot fitter i had said full tilts would be the same, just a little skinnier at the toes

Don't be a dick. Buy from the guy who just spent time helping you out. You've got 4 months until winter to save up cash.

First off they didn't have my size in stock for the ones I wanted and second the place is an hour and a half away and third i can't spend $700-$900 on a boot

If the guy has helped you this much, he'll put it on lay away.

 Then 4 payments of $250.00 a month. You could buy the best boots money can buy and have them by ski season. Just pay at the beginning of each month. This is what I did last season.

If your looking to save money on full tilts get the classic (or the cheapest ft boot you can find with the same shell) and buy different tongues.

I know you are tight on cash, but support the shop that spent the time to help YOU out and get you into the right boot for your foot.

They may not have had your size now because it's August. But shops get shipped most new gear in September/October. If there is a boot you really want, pre-order it and pay it off bit by bit. That way you can also get a boot-fit guarantee, which is what most shops offer when you buy a boot from them. This means they will perform any customization for free of charge, which is HIGHLY worth it if any issues develop down the road which it sounds like it will if you are between sizes.

In short, support your local shop and they will support you. It may not be the easiest thing to do up front, but you will thank us for it in the long run.

Well, if your not buying at the shop, just give some money to the guy. Did that when i bought my spk, i went to te shop tried the spk and bought where i had a deal, i saved like 300$ and gave 50$ to the guy at the shop.

I did, I gave him $30 and told him before hand that I wouldn't be able to buy boots there

If cost is an issue FT runs cheaper than Dalbello. But here is another way to look at it. You between sizes which means you are going to HAVE TO get work done to your boot to have it fit properly. That costs allot of money.

I look at buying boots at a good shop (sports den SLC plug) as the cost of the boot minus the cost of the fitting which is included with the purchase of the boot. I got FT first chairs and had a couple hundred dollars worth of fitting done to them. Which took the normal price of the boot way down compared to what I would have had to spend had I bought the boot online and then taken it to a shop to get fitted.

I don't think it's worth spending 300 + extra dollars just so you can support a local store. Give the guy that helped you $50 as others have said, and if the local prices are similar to online, then definitely buy local, but it's not worth paying that much extra for gear.
