the arcade fire is a fucking good band and their latest album 'funeral' is amazing (go ahead and look them up on pitchforkmedia.com). in any case download 'rebellion (lies)' and you'll see exactly what i'm talking about. do because its good. do it because you'll spread the word about them. do it because if you don't like it, then you know theres something wrong with you and you can seek help for it.

that is very funny that you posted this, I have a friend in NY who just told me about this band, and said they are unbelievable, so I decided to see if anyone had posted anything about them on this site, I should have guessed it would be you. I just ordered it and should get it friday. He sold me on the fact he thought it sounded kinda like the Pixies and Modest mouse. I am very excited to check it out.

Haha... I heard a pretty close Conor vocal match the first time I listened... it has since went away thankfully... No immodest mouse connection though!

Swell is an amazing little band from SF who have been around for over 10 years, I suggest checking out all their stuff, but on the record Everybody Wants to Know there is some piano. They don't rock as hard, but they are the king of slacker rock.
