I'm planning on heading to bellingham for thanksgiving week and chasing whatever weather comes. If it rains, I'll kayak with friends from seattle. If nothing else, I can always mountain bike around there (although I'd love some more DH/FR riding buddies). And best yet, if it snows, then I'll head to baker. I have the freedom of living out of my truck, I just hope that past season's statistics hold true and november sees some snow. Just how big an effect could el nino have? This will be my first time skiing in the cascades, so my knowledge of the climate is minimal.
Someone want to make some turkey day laps?

We generally open that week of thanksgiving, last year i was skiing pow on november 6th. i doubt that will be happening this year. im not confident you will be able to ski in the resort. know you may be able to find snow else where if youre willing to tour. but i aint giving up my early season spots (notsosecretwithgoogle).

do some reading and you decide how you think the weather might turn.

I think I said something along the lines of: oh fuck that looks awesome, I wish I could get out there and ski that, but I am unfortunatly stuck at school doing homework and preparing for midterms next week, so I will instead simply acknowledge that it is a snowboarder and resurrect a slightly ammusing yet simplistic homophobic insult for snowboarding from the 1990s.
