DUDE-dont say that, you have to make it there i wish i was there every day. Its one of of the best places ever, people say dont spend more than a few days there...we ended up there for 10 haha-not sure how we survived.
You need to go to barco hundito, and wednesday nights at aqua lounge, parties are unreal. Our first hostel was a shit hole crazy parties, but animals wouldn't want to live there, our second was amazing 21 bucks a night for sick private 2 person bedroom with its own private bathroom.
Imagine the best beaches in the world, amazing spring break parties on the water with people in bikinies and swings/ropes into the ocean, if blow and bud are youre thing 4$ a gram, super cheep food, awesome local hole in the wall fried chicken joints like .30 a piece.
Its super easy to get there man via costa rican and panamanian public transportation. Busses cost like 4-10 bucks for a 4-5 hours ride. Boat to bocas is cheep, boat rides to beached cost a few bucks round trip, boats take you to and from the bars on all the different island for 1$ a person, beer ran between .50$ and 2$. I paid 2.25 one and got really pissed.
Crossing the boarder is a breeze, the line is super long though-we payed someone to help us he took us to a back door and skip the line, same guy who busses us to bocas.
