I don't know if this is a repost or if I'm even in the right forum or not but I was just wondering if anyone has tried making their own skis. I started making a pair today and got the press done but I don't really know if I want to use epoxy and all the different layers. I plan on using clamps instead of a press layer on top. I'm really just trying to see how it goes this time, not taking it really seriously. I'm using wood glue to hold the horizontal layers together (top sheet and base) which is really just two layers of plywood. I know this isn't going to work very well as I said before, this is just basically practice. If it works I will try the different layers and epoxy next time. Is there an easier way that works just as well or even better? Any tips or recommendations? Yes, I used google, found a lot of stuff, but wanted to see if any fellow NSers had any tips. +k for good input. -k for shit.
