You go to the dealer for maintenance don't you? its a '11, you've got 4 years/50k of FREE maintenance and said you have no issues so you cant have a con of SUPER EXPENSIVE since you haven't paid a dime for repairs. You can also tack on $2k for another 2 years of maintenance if you want to.
I also wouldn't say it holds its value either.. Toyota/Honda/Nissan hold their value better.. I picked up a loaded '09 E90 for 25k less than MSRP and it had 30kmi on it. Luxury cars depreciate the fastest, minus super cars of course.
For parts being expensive, ever hear of getting parts online? Also, lots of R&D means better engineered parts that you are less likely to ever repair if you take care of the car. There are wear items, like fcabs, tie rods, etc.. that are on par with most cars of their level. If you have any knowledge of simple workings of a car, regular maintenance, like brakes, oil changes, shocks, etc.. can be done easily and cheap with minor tools found in most tool sets people have.
Fully loaded is an opinion based term. What BMW does is not bundle everything and allows customers to piece together what they want from their car, making it unique to them. For a KIA/Hyundai, fully loaded could mean navi, bluetooth, heated leather seats. But is the quality and craftsmanship the same? Is the wiring of the same gauge? Are the seats of same quality, feel, thickness? Does the plastic bits feel cheap and thin? I personally like BMW for the driving experience, i can feel bumps in the road, even with the electric steering. I opt'd for black nappa leather, navi, sports package, cold weather package, heated steering wheel, paddle shift, xenons.
