A bit about me. Im currently a uni student in australia and ski in Australia at least ever week during our winter but i have 4 months off from the beginning of November till the end off February. I'm a pretty advanced skier. On my ski trip i want lots and lots of really deep powder. i also want access to steep terrain and good tree skiing, but i want sothing really good value.
Im happy to go to either USA or Canada or both.
When ever i go on trips i always like to avoid the touristy places. i like to go somewhere where i wont meet Aussie and that has character. Places a bit different.
I don't care about the night life or shops or anything like that. ill be there to ski :)
I do ski a bit of park but its not a focus and i'm pretty sure that anywhere will have better parks than Australia anyway.
Places i have thought of): Jackson Hole, Revelstoke, Atla, Brighton, Squaw Valley, Kicking Horse.
but please suggest other places you think i would enjoy including places i may not have heard of.
I'm not sure if i want to spend the entire time in 1 location or do like 4 days at many different mountain or maybe get a place that is driving distance to 5 or 6 mountains. maybe a month in USA and a month a in Canada. I am very open to suggestions and ideas.
so help me out. where do you think i should ski? ask more questions if there is anything i might have left out.
Im summary: where should i go skiing? places that are cool and not touristy, places with powder, trees and steeps
help will get +k
