After doing the snow report for a year, I figured this out pretty well.
Read your essays out loud 3 or 4 times. Try to look at your essay as little as possible. You'll be surprised how much of a difference reading it outloud makes.
Once you've done that write out an outline. Try it 2 - 3 times to make sure you have it. Count how many points you have and remember that number
When it comes to writing the actual essay, write out the outline and count your points again, make sure you have them all. If you know you are missing one, it will be way easier to remember it now than when you're in the flow or writing. Then just start writing, the words should feel pretty natural once you know what you intend on saying.
Should take you about half hour to an hour each.
