Granite_State$, im assuming youre from new hampshire haha i just got back from "operation Granite" a military training in new hampshire. Enlisting is a good route but definitely consider going officer there are many perks to that. and not being an asshole but you can get "layed off" or "fired" in the military because they are cutting back a ton. i have friends who have been honorably discharged because of cut backs.
Also, what they now are doing is giving out "all or nothing" tests to people. a friend of mine who is army just had one of those tests and failed and he was kicked out of the military!

I plan on joining the military in the next few years.

Sounds like she read a couple internet articles on how the military is Satan and now all she does is blurt out those facts at anybody who supports them. The most annoying of people. I've had a buddy from my regiment get spat on while he was riding the bus in uniform. Fuckheads like this exist, we've just got to get used to it. Or visualize them on the targets next range day.

I'm sorry but if you're aware of the imperialist actions that the US undertakes abroad and you join the military anyway, then you're personally morally responsible for any actions that you will commit during your "service." That's regardless of who shoots first. If you're occupying a country unjustly then any person you kill you're morally responsible for.
