Hey everyone, post here what human sense (sight, smell, touch, taste, hearing) you would give up, then post the remaining sense that you would like to have enhanced.

I would give up touch and improve my sight (infrared or something :D)

Anyone who says touch is an idiot. You can't drive a car, pick up hardly anything, use a phone, pull a break lever. You have no feeling and thus no way to gradually do something. Basically: you'd be playing a claw machine.

Id give up smell.

Id enhance hearing because my whole life revolves around music and skiing so it would be nice to have super hearing. Maybe even perfect pitch?

they're pretty much all integrated and essential. smelling and tasting go together and I need those for beer. vision and touch would be the biggest inconveniences so I guess that leaves me with hearing. I would give up hearing if I could taste better.

I guess I would give up smell too, although stuff wont taste like much anymore then. I would either improve seeing or hearing I guess.

I wouldnt give up any so i can enjoy seeing so i can ski. Have fun listening to music. Taste awesome food. Smell the flowers, and of course touching the ladies!

Touch has pros and cons.
I'm pretty sure without smell you couldn't taste.
Sight is good.
I would give up taste for better hearing

I'd probably go with smell. Sure it goes hand in hand with taste but, I could never give up being able to taste. Even just a little is good in my book. Cuddling is the best thing ever so touching stays. Sight & hearing, I am blessed to have both and would not want to lose them.

Taste. If i give up smell it will affect my sense of taste, but if I give up taste, I can still smell just as well. Smell is more useful than taste.

I would enhance hearing because sight has limits. Like if you enhanced sight would you be able to see through shit or zoom in on certain areas? Because it's not much to only have your eyesight be sharper. But hearing, you could hear through walls, doors, pretty much anything. And you're selective hearing would improve so you could choose out of a crowd WHO you wanted to hear, it'd be nutty.

If you have no sense of smell you lose most your sense of taste.

I would give up hearing, ive got enough music and sounds in my head to keep me going for awhile. Then I would enhance my sight. Fuck contacts, I want zoom eyes and infra red vision.

give up taste to hear better.

seriously, you'd be a superhero if you had vision WITH fucking sonar hearing. vision is pretty limited as is. you can't see beyond obstructions and are limited by what your eyes are pointed at, any way. but hearing seems so vast and without boundaries. if you could hear shit that was miles away, or a pin drop behind you at the back of a room full commotion, you'd basically have spidey senses and be able to hone your reflexes accordingly.

and who gives a shit about taste. you'd have an amazing diet because you could just consume whatever tasted awful but was good for you. and you could eat out even the dirtiest of pussies and still love it..

TASTE because if you give up smell, you can't taste either.

this way you could just eat whatever food you want and not be bothered by it, but still be able to smell.

I would seriously not be able to choose which one to give up. An argument for each:

1. Smell is the sense that is closest linked to memory. You know how whiffs of your ex's perfume or cologne brings back memories or how powerful the smell of "winter" is? Yeah. I can't part with that.

1.5. Taste = smell. Seriously would not be able to go without peanut butter or french fries or perfectly ripe peaches or macaroni and cheese.

2. No way would I ever be blind. This world is too damn gorgeous.

3. Cannot be deaf. I'm really into music so that would turn me into a Beethoven and I am no way as talented as that guy was.

4. Touch? Nuh uh. I like being able to feel thank you very much. I think this is one of if not my favourite sense.

You can't have a full experience without all your senses. I with there was something in medicine that could CURE blindness, CURE deafness, not just help/remedy it. Because missing a sense or even having one of your senses weaker than the other would be the most painful thing to me, and I feel like those of us who do not have the choice as to whether or not we are born or become blind/deaf/without a nose have been dealt extremely shitty cards in life.
