So I went to the store today (fred meyer) with the girlfriend and looking around I found beyblades! Who remembers these as a kid,?! they were pretty dope when I grew up. Guess now they got different generation beyblade's now, the new ones look super gross, but I bet all of here remember the first generation one's, which were the coolest.

Now I'm currently looking at beyblades on ebay to rekindle my childhood.

I remember but I always saw it as a gimmick trying to ride yu gi oh's success and never really got into. That being said I do have an arena and a couple of the the toys laying around here somewhere

beyblades were my shit. Did anyone have the remote control ones? Me and my brother got those for christmas one year, we were stoked. I'm not even sure if the remote did anything, but man it was badass.

Shit, back in the days when toys were allowed to have sharp metal spikes and fucking razorblades on em. We used to let them duel it out in a metal mixing bowl, good times.

These consumed a solid year of my childhood. I would get home from shredding as a content little 8 yr old with my brother and beyblade it up. The best combo was the smallest you could make it, except with the largest metal weight disk possible. you could not lose.

I fucking looooved Beyblades. When I lived in santa barbara me and my friends had this little beyblade group and we would just LET IT RIP allllll day long. I just hated whenever I lost those little round pictures on top. I always felt like the thing died and couldn't be used anymore

I loved these things back in the day, me and my friend would get up at 6 everyday to watch the show. I had a fucking huge one that little up with different patterns but it used like $20 watch batteries to power it. We were also into the urban side where we would go out in the street or on a playground to battle. I can not tell you how many times I got brutally injured trying to pick these up while they were spinning.

Hollllyyy shit. i completely forgot about these things. I wish i could find the ones I had. I remember i had this dope blue one. It looked so sick, but it was a small diameter and was really tall so it sorta sucked. I remember the first time I played them when my friend brought them to school in like 1st or second grade. I tried to get him to buy one for me...

The first gen was what I grew up with and were the coolest by far. As kids, we would take a knife and sharpen the edges of the attack rings, sometimes that could crack other peoples attack rings. Heavy weight disk were best, and flat bases were good. Combining and making your own beyblades were cool, good times. Its kinda hard to find the old beyblades now

I remember I didnt have a beyblade so I battled this weird russian kid for it (with my friend's) and I won and his mom got mad at me.

then I got this tiny and heavy red one and fucked up every kid at my school.

i ordered this weird kind on ebay, never had the big ones, but the ones i had were really small and ALL METAL and in a really shallow arena, so they would fly out and cut people. My hands were constantly bleeding and no one with the big beyblades even tried to fuck with me
