From these two trailers and your knowledge of PBP vs. Level 1, which movie do you plan on buying, or are most excited about?

I'm always stoked for the PBP film, but the song choice was just tragic and the trailer was pretty bad. The Sunny trailer, on the other hand, was fucking awesome, best song choice, too. Plus I'm going to the Sunny premiere... So I'm more stoked for L1.

Already bough Eighty Six so for now neither. But in order, trailers so far (not including TGR cuz they aren't my thing):

1. Act Natural
2. Sunny
3. WE

The TSP trailer didm't get me as stoked on their movie as last years, but those shots were all such bangers it looks ridiculous. Sunny, although I thought it was only an average trailer, will be a great movie I think. And WE was just subpar. I like the concept, but that editing was so bad it hurt. Not pre ordering, maybe buy on iTunes if I hear good things.

I think "WE" and "Act natural" look like they're going to be better then sunny. all the trailers looked sick but level 1 has let me down before. i thought eye trip was going to be super sick but it wasn't as good as the trailer.

Can someone with experience of Blu Ray vs. DVD tell me if it matters for ski movies? I know for Hollywood films it looks a lot better. The footage for ski films never really looks too extraordinary in the first place, but does it really look better on Blu Ray? Looking to do hard copies of the movies this year. Sucks just having it stuck on itunes.

Blu-Ray is definitely better, if you have a large 1080 p tv,. and especially in shots/movies where they use RED or other ultra high def cameras

well thank god im going to be in the same dorm this year as the kid that buys em all, even tho i could just get the electronic copy anyways. U Jelly? or Jam?

will probably end up getting the stept movie anyways to support them and cuz of the early ship date and possibly either TSP or level 1 also not sure tho, prolly TSP cuz i dont think hes getting that one

Already bought Act Natural becuase TSP always makes a killer movie. Most likely will but both WE and Sunny in iTunes but of I get a hard copy of either of the two on question I'd probably buy WE.

but honestly tsp has a sweet deal 15 bucks and free shipping hopefully the movie will be dope never even seen one of theirs so i dont know what to expect

Sunny: Better than PBP, but I'll wait for the premiere
Act Natural: Come Find Us was and is my favorite movie to date, definitely buying it.
Stept: Waiting for trailer, it will be good no doubt.

Im tired of people bitching about ski movies. They're all excellent, I enjoy every ski movie I watch, despite a soundtrack that isn't perfect or styles that don't coincide with my preferences, because I love skiing. Whining to me whining about ski movies is just plain fuckery. Until you're out filming, producing, or starring in a ski movie, it is pretty selfish to complain about movies created by others solely for our enjoyment. That being said I am always stoked on all ski movies. I'm especially excited about WE and Sunny because they both seem like they are about getting out there and having as much fun as possible, which to me is wha skiing is all about.

People made the same type of comment last year, and despite the fact that i was helping out with Grand Bizarre at the time I still found it to be ridiculous and illogical.

Ski movie companies produce movies FOR US. And as with any other company, the companies need to do all they can to create the best possible product for customers. This isn't possible without customers discussing what they like and don't like. Would you honestly tell people not to complain if a restaurant made bad food because of the fact that they make the food for our enjoyment? That makes no sense whatsoever. Companies NEED to hear criticism to succeed and improve. Just because not everybody can do what a ski movie company does doesn't mean that they, as customers, can't criticize it.
