BAHAHAHA what a fucking joke...
I would hate to do wedding photography for this very reason... especially if it's some big wedding or something, or not a family member. If it's a smaller wedding without all the overdone bullshit, sure, i'd consider, but I have a feeling the wife in this case is one of those crazy princess wedding wives, and might have even written this letter in her husband's name or something due to the absolute bullshit involved within that letter.
I don't see that being held up in court, especially with the evidence firmly swayed in the direction of the photographer. Hell, even the fact that there's no contract involved gives the prosecution less lee-way when it comes to what was expected in the photos, as there's nothing on paper saying that the photos would be done in a certain way or whatever. It's just utter bullcrap to state that the wedding was 'ruined' based on that whole thing.
That said, lessons to be learned are always have a contract, and never do a wedding shoot (or any shoot really...) with a psycho client.
Way to go Gary Fong on supporting this photog though... mad respect.
