Hey guys I have some XXL FKS 14's that i want to mount on some park skis. I was wondering if you can just buy smaller brakes and put them on myself, or if I could bend the brakes in.
Rossignol is kind of bitchy when it comes to the fks binding platform. It's a liability to sell aftermarket brakes because one needs to unmounted and completely dismantle the heelpiece to change brakes. That's why a lot of people bend the fks brakes on older race models out, although this is a tedious annoying process. I've never heard of anyone bending brakes IN though... I think your best bet would be to trade those xxls for a pair of the 90mm versions, or maybe for some sth 14 drivers/tyrolia peak 15s/jesters which all have interchangeable brakes.
The bindings are not mounted on any skis yet. So would it be that difficult to dismantle the heelpiece. And idk who would trade me 90mm's. Thanks for the help
I'm sure there are people with race fks (especially on tgr) that would trade you old skinny brakes for your wide ones, but then you'd have to dismantle the heelpieces. If you don't want to dismantle, you could always just trade heel assemblies/full binding sets.
