Whats a dope ass camera i should get for filming??
so im in need of a new camera for filming. i need help on which camera to get. im not an expert on them or anything and my mom usually helps me pick out what to get but she is in NC. so can anybody help me.
i also dont mind the cost. but if you could can you keep it somewhat affordable.
"Normally my mom helps me pick out my dope ass shit, because I honestly don't know anything about it. I don't care how much it costs, but keep in mind that cost is a factor."
1) What is your budget? How much money can you spend right away, and do you think you can get more money to invest in the future? like 200 to 800 dollars
2) What experience do you already have with cameras? Have you ever even used one before? Have you helped your friend out with his camera? Have you owned your own? they only thing i used was a gopro and thats about it.
2) What gear, if any, do you currently have? (tripod, old camera lenses, mics, etc) a gopro.
./
4) What are you planning to shoot and how do you want to use your camera? Are you going to use this with the sole purpose of shooting skiing? or do you think you might try other stuff as well (movies, documentaries, short films, etc) well im goin to shoot urban stuff and a little bit of park. i mean i might just take pictures with it. but im mostly gunna use it for skiing
5) Do you want a camera that you can hand to your friends, that could or could not have film experience, and let them shoot you? or will you be doing all the filming? i will be doing some filming and my friends are going to be filming.
6) When filming skiing, how do you tend to shoot? (follow cams, leave it on record on a tripod and hike, film from a tripod, etc) all of those methods. ill use a tripod and ill use it to follow people who are skiing around too.
7) What computer do you currently have/use to edit (if not currently editing, what would you most likely use)? If you can provide specifics, such as hard drive space, RAM, processor size, that would be great. i have a acer aspire laptop. its got a quad core processor. imnot sure about the ram or anything
7) What program do you currently edit on? How familiar are you with it (1- just learning; 10- I can make tutorials and know the keyboard layout) i have sony vegas. and im about a 5 with it

1) Do you think you might consider using a DSLR? what the hell is that
2) Do you have any knowledge about the HDSLRS? still dont know what that is
3) Do you know the limitations to using HDSLRS? dont know it
4) Are you willing to take the time to learn about a DSLR, and how to shoot with manual lenses? yes i am
5) Again, do you want a camera that you can hand to your friends, that could or could not have film experience, and let them shoot you? or will you be doing all the filming? yes i want a camera that everybody can handle.
