How to make a trampoline to have more bounce?

My trampoline sucks Its not bouncy at all. Mistys and rodeos have to be extremly fast to get around and are very sketchy. There are no chances of pulling  a dub at all. Any tips of making my trampoline bouncier without buying a new one. I would just love even a bit more air time

Get a string trampoline bed, they're super light and are almost like a fishnet so air passes through them really fast. They'll make you bounce insanely high, it's what Olympic trampolines use.

My friend the_beekeeper got new spings and a new bed for his tramp not too sure about the spings but the bed had a thinner weave so more air could get through. It works infinitely better. And the tramp he has is the cheapest one you can buy new. Pm him he will give you links and such.

mine is like this too. its almost like getting double bounced. but it makes the worst noises from the springs because the water makes the bed so much heavier.

also /threads because my trampoline sucks.

cross your spings up, wet it down with a hose, then bounce with your shoes on. also teach your friends how to double bounce you. youll boost

This. Wet it with a hose, and bounce when its wet. You go quite a bit higher.

crossing your springs works great


i crossed every other pair so it looks like l l X l l X l l X

that way you don't make the bed super hard, and you also don't run the risk of over stretching your bed as much haha



but yeah when mines wet it bounces super high, the weird noise you guys are talking about is from the bed bouncing downward far, then bouncing back UPWARD, and hitting back down and so forth, fast enough that the spring cover hitting on the springs makes that weird noise haha

Spray the trampoline with cold water. The threads in the tramp will get tighter

i think i might actually cross my springs tommorw. id love to be able to triple with out a double bounce. is it worth crossing the springs? is it hard to do?

prior 2 trampolines ive crossed like

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

it certainly messes with the jump surface

1st  MAKE SURE YOUR TRAMP IS LEVEL ___T_T_T_T___

-double bouncing

-leg strength......get higher

-jump from something house, windows, ladders, trees, roofs/claim

-get a gym pad to throw for broke.

if it needs to be broken in dont take it apart in the winter and let all the snow pile on it, and weigh it down it breaks in the springs so well.

Do not do this. They're way too dangerous for a backyard trampoline, gymnastics coaches will tell you this, and to make it not dangerous you would have to dig it into the ground, and it's still a bad idea. Add that onto the fact that I'm pretty sure they're around ten grand.

my friend has one, he was a gymnast does aerials now, yeh they're dangerous but as long as he takes things progressively he'll be fine, less dangerous than compressing your spinal column/damaging your knees jumping from roofs and ladders onto a not-very-bouncy landing

Yeah, but I'm guessing some kid on NS wouldn't know to have a spotter, a throw mat, etc.. for trying new tricks. If you know how to use it it's safe, but without spotters catch one bad bounce andd you're out.

Mats (comes with some but more are better
Spotters, so you don't fly off the trampoline
knowledge on how to do tricks and land properly so you don't catch a bad bounce
tramp cover as to not damage springs and mat
even flat surface to put it on.

I'm not saying it's impossible to have a safe backyard setup, I'm just saying that even a safe one is a lot more dangerous than a blackbed, and I would never recommend getting one for personal use.

I have my springs cross in a V pattern and it hasn't made much of a difference, and how does taking the pads off make it bouncier ?

Buy better springs. Or buy a new trampoline. If it doesn't bounce worth shit it's not going to suddenly be sick no matter what you do. You can get some more bounce out crossing the springs but It's not going to make it the best tramp ever.

At one point a lot of trampolines were really good, then for a long time a lot of them were shitty. Now there's still a lot of beat ones but good ones are coming back around.

I can't remember what kind mine is but I paid around 360 I think 12 ish years ago and it's the best round trampoline I've ever been on. Just got kind of lucky I guess. I feel like you have a far better chance getting a good one if you snag a 15, and it's bigger so what the hell. A lot of the worst ones are 12-13 ish. Some 14's are sick some suck these days.

You can def get a decent tramp without spending a shit ton of money.

Idk what I'm saying really cause my head is about to explode. Just look around online and buy a new set of springs.

Hi,

I would not recommend crossing springs or getting your trampoline wet. Only good way to have it more bouncier is to buy new, more quality springs or just buy new trampoline.



I would recommend rectangle trampolines if you insist on super bounciness! :)

OP, just buy a couple boxes of these and rub them on your trampoline.


The chemicals induce chain growth polymerization which will increase the crosslinking in your trampoline by about 25%. The crosslinking increases the energy stored in the fabric while you bounce, which leads to higher bounces.
