Water Ramps & Bindings.

So im going to Ohio Dreams next week and since I have never done water ramps before i was wondering if anyone can help me out.

Will  I be able to use my fks 140 in the water ramps without ruining them? I plan on using these bindings next season. I do have other skis/bindings to use, but would rather use the fks if i can.

I ramp a lot. And I wouldn't reuse the bindings. Skis will be fine. But bindings are so important for your safety it's not really worth it. I'm sure Ohio dreams has a ton of crapper skis you can use.

K it fucks everything boots stink bindings can rust and skis get water in them and snap on the water costantly

I seriously would listen to what these guys are saying, I went to a dry slope and that covered my skis in grass somehow, took a while to get off and I had to completely disassemble my boot to get the grass off.

Also I have been to LP a few times and always use my normal skis. Youll be good. Just take out your liner to dry

Ive been there twice and skis get destroyed. Don't use good ones. My edges came completely out. Bindings don't get that messed up but i wouldn't use anything good. Just ask Brendan Trieb if you can use a pair of their fourfront's. Thats what i used because my skis wee way to slow. His username on newschoolers is btrieb and he can answer more questions if you have any

And nothing bad happens to boots. Snow is pretty much the same as water.

It depends if u go into a pool or lake but either way theyll still get stinky

Definently when you go into a lake but the don't smell that bad when yo ramp into a pool

liners can get fucked, bindings and skis however, i wouldn't worry that much about it, just wash em off with fresh water and let em dry ....

i don't see how jumping in and out of the water with your skis is so much different of skiing slush on a spring day ...

The edges of skis just get rusty. And after two years of water ramping, I have lost around 50% of the edges on both skis

did you wipe em off afterwards?

i can't think of any reason why waterramping would be worst than skiing spring slush, except of course when you ramp into seawater or something....

Is there anyone that can explain it to me with some solid evidence ?
or is it just because of the higher temperatures that your skis get fucked ?
i'm just curious to see what makes the difference ...

It might just be because snow doesn't get it as wet constantly as much, E.G you'd be fine putting your camera down on the snow, but you sure as hell wouldn't drop it in a pond.

Its not horrible for edges but whenever you land your landing on hard water whick causes lots of stress againgst the skis which causes them to snap and when skis get waterlogged the core will start to giveaway

But at Ohio Dreams, they use a bubble system so that skis are less likely to snap however they will if they get waterlogged.
