I'm renting an RV and heading up to Zillertal in the begining of december, don't know how long I'll be staying. Thing is, I had this planned out with some friends who unfortunately had to quit on me. Would be great to shred with some guys and not all by myself. Plan was to be able to find somewhere to park the RV around Mayrhofen, if it gets to cold though I'll seek out an hotel. Anyone who will be shredding Penken Park from the begining of december?
Originally from Utah, went to Colorado Mountain College for one year. Did alot of skiing in Breck. Taking 1year off to experience something new and Europe is my choice.
Already answered your PM. Sorry, I dont know that much about the Zillertal but i really would like to ski there next season. It sounds like you are going to do the same as Smuffy did. Are you doing this trip with the help of AFS?
If you need any help regarding anything ski-related or just other stuff you want to know about Europe or the Alps you can shoot me a PM again.
Regarding the Zillertal-part Smuff might hold more information. He already skied there before and still might know something.
As I already said. If I have the time and everything works out with University, work and all that other shit im definitely down to ski in Mayrhofen.
how long do you stay? i had acl surgery a month ago and maybe i´m back on the mountain at the end of december. i´m not really ffrom mayrhofen but its just a 40 mins drive for me. park is sick and if your searching some pow you should check out hochfügen or zillertal arena (zell am ziller). everything just 20 mins away from mayrhofen. nice plan, you´ll enjoy that for sure!
Nice sounds like a great plan. As Kili said, i was there as an exchange student this past year. Honestly i dont know too much stuff about Zillertal, i just got snowed into a hut there for a week. It was real sick though, and i recommend going there for sure. If you have any questions about getting around in germany/austria let me know
I don't know all the details of the trip just yet. How long I'm gonna stay really depends on money. I'm gonna try and work out a budget for the trip soon. I have looked a little into camping, hotel prices and such, but still got to do some research. I'm doing this trip all by myself, so no student exchange programs to help me out. If I find anymore questions to ask, which I probably will, I'll speak up. Thanks so much guys, really nice to see that people enjoy Zillertal. When we talk about pow, that's definitely one of the reasons why I'm doing this trip. I've heard some sick stories about this place.
