Recently purchased some look p18 races (the navy blue ones). I took them apart to bend the brakes, having done it multiple times before, and everything was going fine until I had to reattach the half moon piece. I successfully inserted the spring under the brake pad via the hammering technique but when I depressed the brake to screw the half moon back on, the plastic bottom plate snapped clean in half. I was suprised and pretty pissed, as I just bought these bindings off TGR and this has never happened to me before. I don't exactly trust superglueing it, and I know rossi is pretty strict about replacing fks parts. Can I have them ship me a plate/pair of plates, or are they going to throw a shit fit and make me send in the heel assembly? I was thinking that since I hadn't bent the other one yet, I could swap out the brakes before I sent in the assembly and just say I broke it skiing. What is my best option at this point?
