FS: Tokina 16-50mm f/2.8 for Nikon DX

Is anyone interested in buying my Tokina 16-50mm f/2.8 lens for Nikon (the one in the middle of the picture)? New price is 650 eur, I personally paid 500 eur new, and I'm willing to let it go for 400 eur / $500 + shipping. I am based in Switzerland, but I can have someone send it from Germany to avoid customs if you're living in the EU.



I am selling it because I got the Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 a few months ago, and I am not using this Tokina anymore. They are too similar to keep both.

I would say the big selling points of this Tokina are that it is very wide (closer to 15mm really) and has gorgeous bokeh.

What it has in common with the Nikkor is it's professional build quality, weight and size. It is somewhat soft in the corners at f/2.8, and has vignetting at 16mm wide open. However, it is incredibly sharp stopped down.

I realize that the Tamron 17-50 might be a cheaper choice and slightly sharper at f/2.8. However, this lens has some advantages over the Tamron:
- far better build quality
- wider
- smoother out-of-focus backgrounds
