Hey NS, so a while back I bought a pair of surface one lifes (size 179) from the demo sale they had. I go to Utah every year for a few weeks and I thought that I would pull the trigger so I wouldn't have to waste my money on renting any more. But the problem is, I only want to bring one pair of skis. Formerly I used to bring my park skis and rent pow skis so I would only have to bring one pair. To cut to the chase, I want to know if I should mount dead center so I could shred park better, or mount em back for pow (by the way I'm 5'11'' 145lbs.) as long as it wouldn't suck in the park.
dunno what type of ski one lifes are, but if they're perfectly symmetrical might as well go dead centre seeing as you live east coast. if they're more an all mountain or powder ski 1 or 2 cm back from centre would be good. minimum 2 for sure if it's a powder ski and you might be getting some turns in
true center is the way to go, that way you go do switch pow which is super fun, and it will make park skiing a bit more natural since you're going to be one pow skis.
I gots one of them 5th grade boners. Also, just mount your one lifes dead center, It shouldn't be too much of a difference in the pow, and you can use them in the park. Just add a little more leg exercise to your routine and you will be gold.
