Ski pants

Hey all,

I have a question and that is what brand of ski pants have good, reliable, waterproof pants that contain "d3o" (If you don't know what that is look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D3o).

I am looking for a protective style pants (probably just for the upper leg area) for when I am hitting rails.

I highly doubt that the "D3o" would break a fall onto a rail or from a jump. Also I assume it would be extremely expensive making it just a gimmick. Lastly, a good option would be to buy hip pads, shin guards, or whatever you are worried about to protect yourself and wear regular ski pants on top of the pads.

well ive seen the pants and felt them when you hit them - they do stiffen up a lot.

that might be a better option to buy hip pads/ upper leg pads? as my shins are usually fine from my boots.

They probably are a pad option to have pads. I have the triple 8 "bumsavers" and there are pads that protect the tailbone and cover basically 360 from there down to a few inches above the knee. I'm sure there are some tights that you could buy for full coverage from hips down.
