Does weed help you overcome the fear of trying new tricks?

I'm just curious about this one, never really had a blunt out on the slopes so I'm not quite sure what to make of this. Anyone who can shed some light on this? Peace.

No not for me .. I reallly enjoy blazing with friends on the slopes, i think its awesome and makes skiing even more fun and mind blowing, but i definately dont blaze when im trying to learn new tricks, especially inverts. I find although i enjoy skiing more when im high, my park skills arent as good.

try blazing on a pow day if u get the chance.

If I just smoke a bowl and get a little buzzed then yes, it kind of gets rid of some fears for me. Anything more than that though and I just get lazy.

Would you guys say that it kinda destroys the fear part, but hurts your physical ability more. Thus preventing you from performing a 100% when youre trying to learn something new?

For me rail game is enhanced, but my jump game stays the same. Basically it makes everything feel/look smoother IMO.

Different strokes for different folks. All drugs affect different people different ways. Some can and some can't. Meth sucks btw. I doubt less than even 5% of any pros do any crappy meth. That drug sucks; and it is not relaxing AT ALL! Why ski on any kind of amphetamine??

SKIING itself, is it's own amphetamine!!!!!!!

Learned to throw a double gainer on a 1m diving board thanks to alch. So stoked that I learned it. Now im doubled up on everything, fronts backs and reverses. I dont think ill ever learn a double inward.

It helps for me as long as I'm not too high like others have said before me. Smoking a bowl with some buddies in the ganjala on the way up on a pow day is one of my favorite ways to start the day. But as always, carrying a little flask of liquid courage such as whiskey will help soothe the nerves and let you huck but i always like smoking more than drinking especially on the slopes.

My personal preference when it comes to smoking and skiing is that I try to stay away from it. If I a having a tough day trying to get down a trick, I might smoke a stogie to calm my nerves a bit, but I never want to cross the threshold of needing to smoke weed to enjoy skiing. Skiing is one of my favorite things to do in life and it shouldn't need to be enhanced by weed. But from my experiences, outside chemicals don't help that much, 90% of learning a new trick in mental.

if im high while skiing i dont like the park at all. if there is good snow i hit the trees or bumps, and if its no bueno i slap on my race skis and just make big ol carves.

Definitely, but if I get too faded I lose my motivation obviously depends on the strain of weed, if it is Indica or Sativa. Indica dom weed usually puts me on the back burner so I usually take 20-30mg of aderall if that happens to me. When I am stoned I notice I push my self and let shit go. I sent this 20 ft cliff with quite a bit of speed with out even thinking twice about hitting it. and ended up dropping about 30 feet to some deep powder. I have noticed that I will usually just go for new bigger tricks with out being a pussy about it.
