The idea that an organism would evolve to be anatomically split 50/50 (as opposed to blended together) with hominid and fish characteristics is nothing short of absurd.

Furthermore, at what point would an organism have equal evolutionary utility for both arboreal (brachiating shoulders, prehensile digits, bipedal upper skeletal anatomy) and marine traits?

I mean, the theory of gigantipithecus at least makes biological sense, but mermaids? You'd have to be thick to even consider it.

Was watching it earlier...I'm calling massive bullshit. They claim they get all this evidence and test results and a body but every single time it was taken by the government. Plus that video on the kids cell phone...when the thing popped up wtf? Looked like a low budget horror movie.

guys it was a science fiction documentary it was all just absolute shit based off the aquatic ape theory, nothing in there was real, there is no proof all just speculation. The thing is, animal planet had a pretty week disclaimer if you ask me.
