So I have a pair of masterminds last year. There kinda trashed and im getting hooked up with a pair of rmu's. The masterminds im taking the bindings off and putting marker griffons on em. Im using this ski as a spare and an urban ski. But my friends was telling me about Plasti-DIp, it can come in a can and you spray it and 20 minutes its dry. Then when ever your done, you just peel it off like vinyl. If you look up videos you will get what I mean... So ns, would it be bad to plasti-dip the top of my skis, tape of the edges and bases. It would be flat back or white. Thanks +k
It would be a bullet proof ski thats forsure. I guarantee it will be extremely heavy though. Worth a shot on an old ski though I guess. If you hate it, it does peel off relatively easy.
Yea he did it to his wheels, it look like 10 minutes for wheels. So on skis cant be to hard, but its not that strong haha. Would it really add that much weight? Its quite a thin layer.
Yeah it might be slightly or drastically noticeable. If your spraying it it will definatley be lighter. I've only ever brushed the stuff. Whenever I've lined something with that or truck bedliner, it seems to add a fair amount of weight, after all it is liquid rubber. Still worth a shot, probably won't be crazy heavy. Post up results if you do it. Doing it to wheels would be sick, they would always look good, never get chipped and ugly looking.
ive used it before, not on skis though. it wouldnt be heavy really.. but it would be really grippy, so your skis would get caught doing like mute grabs and stuff when you crossed them. and it would tear easily when the edge would come in contact with it. wouldnt really work i dont think, but it would be easy to try it and peal it off after. it wouldnt hurt anything
