It seems like newscholers is giving the cold shoulder to the pictures and edits that have gotten the best ratings of the day. Not hating but they should get some type of recognition...

Nipwitz just got vid of the day and wasnt even on top rated and same with yesterday and theres been multiple pictures that havnt gotten cover photo

I believe that the VOD/POD is "the best piece of content from the last year that has not been selected."
However you're right, there has been a lot of older content pulled to the front recently. Perhaps NS made some sort of change to the selection formula.

It does not select something necessarily that was uploaded in the last day, it selects in an increasing scale starting the previous day and working its way up to 365 days.
Right now, we've had a wash of people cheating the system to get their own photos and videos to the top, and simply have been ruining it for everyone.
I'm ashamed of the newschoolers community right now, as I can't believe we can't be more mature about this. We give an opportunity to have your stuff featured, and some people just piss all over it.
It doesn't matter though, we have an entirely new ratings system which is just about to launch. This is going to fix an immense amount of problems.
I'm going to go and perma-ban some cheaters too This is bullshit.
