I grew up back east too, but I could relate to wanting to ski steep terrain. I spent all day skiing bumps growing up, and it made me want to go to places like Squaw/Jackson and see real steeps. I guess people in this day and age ski more park, and many simply can't relate to looking for steeper terrain.
I like the trailer, but I was not as pumped as I hoped I would be. I see big powder faces, and some big lines, but I'm not seeing the crazy spine lines of OFTR. I hope the actual movie delivers this sort of terrain.
I have no problem putting an entire movie around AK. I would also be happy with no urban and minimal park. The problem I have is that I'm not seeing lines like Sage's Hotel Room from Under The Influence, and that is the sort of stuff I want from an AK based movie. Hopefully they just didn't include that stuff in the trailer. Given how sick AK was last season I was hoping to see some crazier lines.
True Dat.
I should make it clear that the trailer DID pump me up, and I have loved every TGR movie ever made. I saw lots of sick stuff, I was just hoping to see a couple more spiny sections.
You are correct though, I have no doubt the movie will deliver that sort of stuff. I also have a feeling, given how monstrous the snowpack in AK was last year, that we will see some huge tricks off of cliffs.
TGR always delivers.
No fucking way. That guy has some serious, serious balls.
