DingoSeanTennis and Golf are second only to maybe Skiing/Snowboarding when it comes to downright White ass sports.

ForcilloYew! Forgot about this lol. Senior in HS this year coming off two straight state title losses. We got bumped up a class this year, so competition will be stiff but I'm optimistic.
Also, obligatory gear info, just picked up a pair of the new Barricades and have been hitting a Radical MP strung with Sensation 17 in the mains and some type of Luxilon in the crosses for about a year and a half and I'm a big fan.

Steely_easyAnyone else practice really well, but break down in games? I have three consistent serves, play six times a week, and I'm consistent, but I am playing JV (I'm also a freshman), when I know I could beat a third of the varsity kids. Also when I play someone who sucks, I let up easy points and bullshit like that. Any of you guys have this issue? What did you do?
OregonDeadIt is really a mental game. When I was playing a lot I realized that I had to be in a certain mindset to constantly hit good shots. When I am in the right state of mind all my shots go just like I want them to.
It is really easy to lose focus and end up playing worse when your opponent isn't as good. Just like a skiing a hard line requires more focus than cruising around a hard opponent will make you focus more.
Competition can also be really distracting.
If I am having trouble with my shots I try to think about nothing but my breathing.
Steely_easyThank you so much for this, I played better than ever this week, and had probably one of my best match ever against one of the hardest teams
