At the beginning of last season I got some dropkicks, was fitted at ski rack in Burlington and they were great throughout the season, no pain, no problems. I just finished my summer set up and after about 10 minutes of sessioning it my left arch started to hurt very bad, to the point where I had to stop and take my boot off. It was a sharp pain un the left side of my left arch. My right foot had no pain though. My dad thought it was because my foot was not stretched out, or from hiking so much. What do you think?
Your foot has to get used to all the support. I spend pretty much any time I can during the summer in flip flops. When it's time to wear ski boots again it isn't necessarily that pleasant first time out.
This. Make sure to transition into your boots properly by wearing them a bit at night before you ski the next day and also by wearing your footbeds in your street shoes. This is especially the case if you wear non-structured footwear like flip-flops. You can't go from no support to full support and not have some cramping going on.
