FCP 7 Dual Monitor Setup

Hey all, just got my Macbook pro 17" hooked up to my 23' led monitor
I would love to hear about other peoples work flow on 2 monitors with FCP7

I go all windows on one screen except for the viewer/playback of the timeline window on my second screen. I need to update my GPU though, it lags a bit when I go two monitors (one is sub-1080 too! :(

I have my files and viewer on my left screen and timeline preview and video scopes on the other (laptop screen for CC).

fcp standard view on one screen, timeline and canvas of selects on the other, drag and drop those motherfuckers

I have a wall mounted TV I use as my viewer, and a 2nd monitor for my timeline and video scopes.

It depends on the project though. I like to flip screens around a lot, but this is my usual setup.

Yeah ive been messing around with it, I think having two monitors makes it so much easier to organize and edit all your stuff

i have everything except the timeline viewer on my laptop screen and the timeline on my 24" monitor.

I only edit like that when I know il be sitting down for more than 5 hours. Otherwise my 17" screen is big enough for me.

Can you do this with a Macbook pro laptop and a Dell monitor? If so what would I need to get to do it? Forgive me I'm kind of new to this.

Get a mini vga to vga adapter and plug it in. Works like a charm.
